Check out this link which shows my friend, Willard Thiesen interviewing Grace Walk Canada's National Director, Mike Zenker. This program is broadcast nationally across Canada.
I'm so proud of Mike Zenker. We are blessed to have him working with our ministry.

Steve,
ReplyDeleteI like how Mike emphasizes "identity" so much. I have consistently found that those who live under the bondage of legalism do not know their identity in Christ. They're doing things in an attempt to gain acceptance and righteousness, which is of course something they already have in Jesus.
I was that way for many years. Thank God I discovered the truth!
Mark
Thanks for your ministry! God used "Grace Walk" to lead me to the place where I discovered the truth. I pray daily for God to work through me so that others would discover their true identity and what it really means to live in Christ.

PS I put a link to your blog from mine.
What a refreshing interview and certainly one I can identify with. As a leader in a church right who is also teaching the message grace, I am finding that the church is truly a vast mission field. Those in bondage are many and the journey among them is often lonely but with Christ's Life as my resource for living, I can and will carry on. Thank you Steve for the video as I will share it with many. Soon, I too will have a blog attached to our ministry's website where I can share these things.

Hi Grace, Since I've been married all my adult life, I haven't experienced or personally seen the discrimination against singles you've mentioned. I do believe you, that it is an issue in the church, because many singles have told me the same thing through the years.
ReplyDeleteThe answer to your question is that there is no place for discrimination in God's family. I'm sorry that you've experienced that and encourage you to seek out other singles to whom you may minister the love of Christ. If you feel that way and others do too, it may be an opportunity for you to be used by God to meet a need in the church.
I hope your observation will be a wake-up call to many in the church and that we'll all do a better job of showing Christ's love to those who are single.
