Wow

God help us ... some things leave you not knowing whether to laugh or cry!

Next Sunday . . . "Bambi and Damnbi Rhyme. A Coincidence? I think not!"

  1. It causes me sadness that these preachers have nothing better to do then to condemn anything and everything. Wouldn't it be something if they actually preached Christ and His love. Even sadder is that junk like this is on YouTube which leaves such a false impression of who Jesus really is.

  2. My children are prodigals. Standing at the edge of the cliff. I'm afraid if they saw this video, it would be the force that pushes them off the cliff completely. It almost makes ME want to fling myself off a cliff! >>>> eyes crossed <<<<

  3. Oh good grief...

How weird. I think he could have read my post "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road". It was delightfully offensive to sin sniffers. :D

Steve, either you're corrupting us or vice versa. You're UNREPENTANTLY peddling Grace! LOL

What's so sad is that two years ago I would have bought into that. The funny thing is you could totally interpret the movie as being representative of many things about Christianity (click your heels three times, Christ was in the grave three days)..(there is no place like home - "Heaven")...Dorothy was a prodigal...oh, I could go on and on, but I'm melting...I'm melting.....

  5. i'm mixed up, Steve. Is this a good video that we should adhere to or is it talking about law and not grace. Is it OK to watch the movie Wizard of OZ? When i saw the movie i never even thought it was evil - i liked it and thought it was funny. Now that this preacher guy said those things i'm wondering about ever watching it again. Agnes

  6. Agnes - I can't tell if you're being serious or are joking. I assume you're joking and know that the whole point is to show the ridiculous extremes that legalism can reach.

  7. I'm thinking that this guy would be critical of "The Shack" too. Bless his heart.

  8. Dear Steve,
i wasn't kidding. i was very serious. But now that you answered me i understand now that the whole point was to show the ridiculous extremes that legalism can reach. i have been very legalistic and i still think legalistic at times. So when i saw this video i started thinking that maybe the Wizard of Oz was wrong to watch. Please pray for me Steve, that God would reveal His grace to me even more than He has already. Thank you, Agnes

  9. I apologize, Agnes. I assumed you were kidding. Let me encourage you to continue to grow in the grace of Jesus. Saturate your mind with the truths of grace through books, teachings, etc in order that your mind will be renewed to the truth. As has been said, the best way to spot a counterfeit is to become thoroughly familiar with the authentic. As you grow in grace, the Holy Spirit will enable you to recongize error when you see it. May you be blessed as you journey forward in grace!

  10. Thank you Steve for your "Barnabas Touch" just then, and your encouraging word. i am listening to your tape series "The Garments of Grace" And listening often to your recordings to both "Your Father's Heart (taken from the book of Psalms and the book of Isaiah) are helping me so much in knowing how much God loves me. (by the way, do you have transcripts of those 2 recordings?) Agnes

  11. I just think it's so sad that there are people out there like this man, and so many others, that give Christianity and Jesus such a bad rap. Certainly there is grace for them too, but I kinda wish they didn't have the opportunities to be in front of so many people until they actually learned the truth.
