Believers & Unbelievers

  1. Great post Steve
Love the simplicity of the Good News so well expressed by Baxter Kruger.

  2. Can we really separate the children of God (his sheep) from each other. I think when we apply labels to ourselves or others, then we limit God's love and grace. He said 99 is not enough, and he came to save the world. Therefore, God will persevere in finding his lost sheep, or as labeled unbelievers, until he has carried all (the world) back to the fold. No matter how many times we stray, he will remain faithful in always guiding us home. He is the beginning and the end. He is the author and finishes of our (the believer and unbeliever, sheep, children, all, world) faith!

  3. Come out from the world and be separate but be careful to draw a line between light and darkness, sin and righteous lifestyle, and not your touch on people. Love one another first in the Body of Christ though, and by extension love the world in a reaching out of Gospel. We do more harm to the cause of Christ when we flop here in not loving our brother as Christ has loved us. They'll know we are sent ones by our love for one another but unbelievers are known by their fruit.

  4. All are known by their fruit not just unbelievers. Everyone has some unbelief, so to some degree we are all unbelievers. As Baxter says any time we draw a line in the sand we hurt people.

  5. I agree that we don't draw lines, but the Bible does draw lines between some things - flesh/spirit, works/faith, as well as others of which believers/ubelievers are mentioned. We don't draw lines but we don't erase those the Bible draws either :)
