  1. Glad you made this video available on your blog Steve! This is a powerful testimony. It applies to anyone, whether they've been in a lifestyle like Willie's or not...
I especially related to the way he felt like God was impossible to please, and how astonished he was when he discovered that God had never left him and loved him even when he shook his fist at God....Unconditional Love !

  2. Thanks Steve
It is good to see this subject being opened and given its proper seat in our minds. Religion will try to form life from the Bible and judge others according to a dead and delusional dual system of the knowledge of good and evil, especially when it comes to this subject!

All humanity is newly created in the humanity of the last Adam and may come to live by His faith and be trained not to judge others. PERIOD! This is love and essence of God! He hates the sin but loves the sinner, so who does that exclude? Who He has included in the Incarnation He has forgiven once for all!

  3. This is a difficult subject to touch. My experience has a few similarities to Willie's... and huge differences. Homosexuality is as much a "lifestyle" as heterosexuality. The same problems exist in both "worlds". Willie realized that he was looking to others to "complete" him. This is a theme to be found in the heterosexual "lifestyle" also. The truth is... God is the only one who completes.

God exploded into my life the day after I gave up on Him. Like Willie... I told God that I couldn't continue lying about myself... and, therefore, couldn't continue trying to please Him by pretending to be somebody I wasn't. I fully expected God to leave me. The next day, a huge part of my personality was gone. It felt like some ghostly being had left me... and I thought it was God who left... until I realized what was gone was anger, bitterness and judgment. God made it clear to me that I was "right" in him just as I was. I was (and still am) completely dumbfounded! And I was/am so utterly thankful… and joyful about this unimaginable turn in my life. How could the church be so utterly wrong on this subject!? It took a few weeks until I realized that the subject wasn't homosexuality… the subject was God Himself… who He is… which lead to realizing that His grace was never meant to be a "kickstart" to a life of following the Law. Grace is not an event in time… it is life itself in God!
There is no "work" to do. God wants us to be who we are as He transforms who we are into who He is.

Homosexuality is a varied as heterosexuality. One's sexual orientation doesn't play a role as to whether on not one is God-oriented. In fact, my acceptance of my homosexuality lead to a revelation of God's true nature. My life is overflowing with God!

  4. Homosexuals can love God just as much as heterosexuals. It's not about sexual orientation. It is very unfortunate that Steve McVey has allowed himself to be dragged into Wille Torresin's personal troubles.

I neither drink, smoke or take drugs. Whether or not a person is involved in such destructive behavior has nothing to do with sexual orientation. For every homosexual so troubled, one can find many heterosexuals so troubled.

I know many men in committed relationships. I know Christian homosexuals who are committed to God.

  5. Tom - it appears that you and I weren't listening through the same filter. I heard a brother in Christ rejoicing about how our God has worked in his life. His words were celebratory. If anything, I was dragged into a celebration, not a problem. Your remarks suggest (to me) that you read a lot into his words that I simply didn't get.

  6. Steve, I appreciate your posting this. It is refreshing to hear about the love of Jesus even for those who are homosexuals. I am a Christian homosexual and embrace the grace walk. I have not; however, experienced Jesus changing my sexuality. I experience His love daily and His blessing are abundant in my life. Blessings to you as you spread the Truth of the Gospel.

  7. Just my take.... I see this is a year old. And a disclaimer... I am a personal friend of Tom's, but did not know his comments here.

Sin is known by the law. The law is taken away.

So, to me, mixing any thought of sin with grace is that same as mixing law and grace.

Most arguments for or against anything, notably homosexuality, are invalid bc they are law based.
