Missing Christ In Plain Sight

It's not unlike the preoccupation that many have with consecrating so much on what they believe the Bible is telling them to do that we miss the Real Subject of the Scripture - Jesus Himself.

Describes much of my Christian experience. I was too busy having a relationship with tradition, rules, and systematic theology when I was missing the Person standing before me with His arms opened wide. I still shudder at times as to how hard my heart was and how closed minded to the grace I once thought I was believing.

I enjoy your blogs very much Brother Steve! Thank you!

  2. .."by sleight of hand, and cunning craftiness,.., making merchandise of you..." false apostles transforming themselves, false angels of light,.. deceivers.." False teaching and rotten people is one way we miss Christ in plain sight when we give heed to it..and through having itching ears. Good blog illustration of this hypothetical error and not the Living Word, Jesus instead, Steve! Kudos. DC

  3. Steve, i really like object lessons that talk about stuff that's hard to explain. And, so, i liked this video showing how we get distracted and not focused on Jesus. thank you
