I'm not sure if you have time to even read these responces, but I did have a question.
I think I do understand what you are saying, but....does this mean that our faith does not grow, as we mature in our Christian walk? Or is this just us gaining knowladge?
Kat, the challenge with these short videos is that I can't address all the variables. You are right, we do (as the Apostle Peter said) "grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ." That would mean that our faith "grows" as we understand more and more about how much we can rely on Christ.
The point of the video is to counteract the idea that the reason things don't happen in our lives is that "we don't have enough faith." My point is that we live by the faith of Another, Jesus Christ, (Galatians 2:20) and simply need to depend on Him.
Many people see faith as a commodity that we spend with God to get what we want. In reality, Faith is personified in Christ and our need is to grow in the knowledge of Him. Authentic faith is seeing "what is" by viewing life through our Father's love. As we do, we will see our faith becoming stronger and stronger. I hope this makes sense. Thanks for your insightful comment.
